Scorn is a first person, atmospheric horror game that has its players in a spooky space filled with weird form and dark tapestries.
It’s designed around the idea of “being immersed in the world”. The player will feel isolated as you wander around in this dream-like world. The unsettling environment is an entire character.
Each place has the theme (story) that includes puzzles as well as characters that play a role in the creation of a unified world. Throughout the game you will discover new places and acquire various skill sets and weapons, as well as various other items and try to comprehend the sights presented to you.
GAMEPLAY PRODUCTS
Cohesive “lived in” world. Scorn is set in an open-world that contains various interconnected areas. Every region has a maze-like layout with a variety of rooms and paths to discover. The narrative is entirely through the game. There are no cut scenes to distract from the harsh reality of your world. But keep your eyes open because the game doesn’t give the slightest remorse if you miss something important in your chaotic travels. Every thing has a purpose and goal – you only need figure out what it is.
Full body awareness: Players will experience better immersion being conscious of their body and movement. The world interacts with you in a real manner. Pick up objects with your hands, instead of hovering in mid-air. The instruments and equipment can be operated with the help of the controls.
-Inventory and ammo management – is defined and limited. It is essential to keep players at an increased state of mind during the whole game. It is important for the player to consider when they should be fighting, when it is time to hide, and what effect impacts their actions will have on the environment. The game will require various play styles to move forward.
Scorn Part 1 and Part 2 Are the games split into sections?
We are planning to release the game in two parts. The second part coming out in 2018.
The two games represent all that can be ever done. There won’t be DLC, expansions or sequels. Ever.
